Dr. Peter A. Barone, Esq. Ph.D. is going to be posting a large number of papers on this blog pertaining to Police Use of Force and Officer Involved Shootings due to the unrealistic and unreasonable complaints being presented by various parts of the community and their ignorance of use of force and the need to use various levels of deadly force.

News

On June 17th 2014 Dr. Barone was once again invited to present at the Florida High Liability Conference held in North Florida in October of 2014.
On June 12th 2014 Dr. Barone presented a seminar to more than 150 Florida Law Enforcement Crisis Negotiators in Cocoa, Florida where he presented the negotiators with information on How to Negotiate with People from Different Eras at their Annual Conference.
In June 2014 Dr. Hutton and Dr. Barone were once again rewarded with the honor of presenting at the Annual Conference for the American Society of Criminology in San Francisco California.
Dr. Barone and Dr. Hutton have been rewarded with the honor of presenting at the Annual Conference for the American Society of Criminology in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Barone has been invited to present at the yearly Florida High Liability Conference; the ILEETA yearly Conference.

About the Author

Dr. Peter A. Barone, Esq., is a nationally and internationally known Police Use of Force & Police Shooting, Certified Force Science Analyst, Certified Forensic Consultant; Licensed Attorney and Former Major Crimes Prosecutor. He is the Chair of a Criminal Justice Program and the Pre-Law Program and an experienced courtroom witness who has testified in hundreds of legal proceedings at the county, state, and federal levels. He began his law enforcement career in 1975 and is still working part time as a sworn deputy sheriff. He has testified in, and taken, thousands of depositions over the past five decades. He has testified in, and conducted, Grand Jury proceedings in First Degree Murder cases. He has investigated, solved, and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases and has conducted scholarly research involving hundreds of attempted murder and murders cases over his 39 years in law enforcement, 22 years of being a licensed attorney, and as a major crimes felony prosecutor. He and Dr. Hutton are currently conducting murder/dismemberment, murder/suicide and home invasion and robbery research with such agencies as Detroit, Bridgeport, Miami-Dade, and Chicago Police Departments. Dr. Barone is currently conducting Officer Invovled Shooting research reviewing 6,000 cases and interviewing hundreads of law enforcement officers who have been involved in OIS. Dr. Barone is a law enforcement and military instructor who for the past 33 years and has taught law enforcement personnel at the city, county, state, and federal levels. He has also trained dispatchers and civilians during his career. He has been a full time professor for two universities and an adjunct professor on ground and online for several universities since 1996 and has taught thousands of students both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
